It was all pretty loosely planned, so don't worry about that. We just need to figure out configurations. Organization. Ohhh my gosh are these fruits and vegetables going to be huge when they grow, that'll be amazing to see!

[he smiles again, happy for donnie perking up.]

I've completed all the necessary paperwork, so the rest of is is just up to us.

[optimus takes a datapad out of his subspace, one that's in a tablet functionality and places a stylus on the table next to it - not quite donnie sized, but also not one so large the poor turtle would be winded carrying it around.

I thought we could start it off like this, capitalising on the space. This will mean we can add much more and potentially larger plant samples should we happen upon a planet we can gather some from. Megatron had the idea of a trip for this exact reason, and it's not an idea we should discount.

[Donnie scampers over to have a look at the tablet, nodding.]

I was telling Megatron that if we built upwards, then we'd have more space to use. The beauty of hydroponics, not being limited to a single axis to grow things. Might be trickier with fruits and vegetables- we'd have to figure out what might grow on vines and give them priority space for the bottom with room to branch out.

[He sets the stylus down so he can tap at his bracer computer, transferring a file to the tablet of some of the sample schematics he'd made.]

These are just ideas based on stuff they have back home- they're like racks with spaces to hold pots and containers, so they're suspended, and there's enough space for you to see between them, and to promote growth. Hm. Maybe have different sections, then they can be moved if we figure some need more space than others. Transplanting won't be the difficult part at least.

These should be easy to come by as well. [he says, and heroically doesn't point out the transplanting double meaning.] I don't believe any of what I purchased is likely to get extremely big, but there's something to be said for how things flourish when they are truly cared for. I think you are correct on the customization of the room, and it will make for a handy rotation when there are visitors looking for different varieties of plants.

I'd still advise keeping them separate by plant-types so they don't get mixed up, and a lot of vegetables have similar care needs anyway, so grouping will make things easier in the long run.

Yes, I've heard several herbs are very aggressive in spreading. There's plenty of room to keep those separate, even when this starts to fill up.

[optimus smiles down at donnie, genuine but slightly complicated.]
