Donnie isn't even sure what he's trying to hide. Maybe it's not so much hiding as it is unwillingness to acknowledge truths.

His eyes slide back towards Mikey as his little (?) brother eyed him, and he slowly pulls himself to sit up straighter. Mention of his 'gloves' has him look down at his hands, mention of his current trappings making his brow tick down a degree.

"...I never went back," he says, a slight edge slipping into his tone, which he looks instantly regretful for. "And these, they're...not really gloves." His head still angled downward, he however glances back at Mikey before holding one of his hands out to him for inspection. As easily as his fingers and arm move, the black coating is rather stiff, like one were gripping stone. Which... it is, oddly enough.
